We're Baaack!

No, we didn't go anywhere- it's just been a while since I posted. If you know me then you know I have commitment issues when it comes to the computer....or the phone....o.k., inward look here, I have trouble following through with anything in life! On to topics I find more fun and don't make me squirm in my chair- we hit up the Scottish Renaissance Festival on Saturday. It was a family outing to celebrate Father's Day with Kevin, he spends Sundays studying and getting ready for the week ahead. We saw lots of kilts, heard the melodies of bag pipes and enjoyed a breezy, sunny day at the Santa Cruz County Fairgrounds. We even had a VIP hay ride- yeah, that's right, hay ride. We were shoveling tasty, overpriced, festival goodies into our faces when a gentleman making his rounds on a tractor stopped and offered us a ride around the grounds. He took us by the barns that hold the animals during the fair, a rose garden, the corrals where a horse show was being held and finished off by taking us through the restoration sheds. This is where they restore antique farm equipment that has been donated over the years- hence the picture of old tractors- some of which were over fifty years old and ALL of which apparently run quite well! One more thing- the nightmare-invoking, horned creature there it NOT Kevin although it does bare resemblance to a picture I posted previously- hee hee- I love you darling!

  1. Hey Kendra, great pics. We took our kids to the Ren Festival in Ohio a couple years back. I remember the tights, sword fights and bag pipes. Glad to see you had a good time. Love and miss you, Becky
